Sharika Enterprises ensured the Success of Delhi Metro’s First Line RC-7A, connecting ISBT and Shastri Park Metro Stations.
New Delhi, 13th January 2025: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) marks 22 years of successful operations, with the RC-7A metro line – the first line connecting ISBT and Shastri Park stations – playing a pivotal role. Sharika Enterprises Limited (SEL), a trusted leader in the power sector takes pride in having contributed to overcoming several technical challenges, while ensuring that the power infrastructure functions smoothly at this landmark metro line.
The RC-7A line is powered by Dry-Type Transformers from Elettromeccanica Italy, Sharika’s joint venture partner. While operating the line, DMRC encountered several problems. Utilising its technical know-how, Sharika Enterprises undertook detailed on-site inspections and testing to identify and rectify the root cause problems.
The work was completed efficiently within 3 to 4 weeks in the year 2001. All maintenance and rectification work was carried out strictly according to the DMRC schedule during night shutdowns without any disturbance to metro operations. To ensure continued reliability, the maintenance staffs were also trained to meticulously follow the Maintenance Manual for routine and scheduled checks, test procedures as well as the other related tasks.
Having overcome this challenge, Sharika was awarded several repeat orders from DMRC and Chennai Metro. The systems have been functioning smoothly since the rectification. Sharika Enterprises is committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions for critical infrastructure.
